News 12 Networks comprises seven regional cable news television channels in the New York metropolitan area. The channels offer local news 24-hours a day and reach approximately 3.8 million television households in the tri-state area. Originally created and owned by Cablevision the networks are carried by all Cablevision systems in the region as well as other major cable companies serving the tri-state area. However, they are not available to DBS or Verizon FiOS subscribers (hence, the slogan is "Only on cable. Never on FiOS. Never on satellite."). Although the regions have individual and unique news operations, the network shares similar graphics and music as well as mission.
